Vampire Swim Ottawa, Halloween 2016

Second annual Vampire Swim Ottawa, hosted by Technosport. Swims ranged from 25m to 1km (5mins - 25mins), water just under 9C, with a bitter chilly wind. Under the watchful eye of an open water swimmer's worst nightmare...a jellyfish! We raised just under $400 + 3 blood donations for Canadian Blood Services. Fun and creepy cupcakes were had by all! The Vampire Swim is an informal fun swim, started by Kingdom Games and held at various locations around the world at Halloween. The goal is to raise blood donations or cash donations to the local blood bank, hence the vampire theme.
