Summerville beach with the family, NS

Today, despite my fear of being eaten alive by things that lurk in the ocean, sister and I very bravely went into the water and did not freak out when we realized there was AN ACTUAL SEAL hanging out there too! I spotted his little bum rolling around, then his head popped up, and about 20 seconds later he dove down and swam off. I won’t lie, spent the whole time scanning the waterline, as 3 tagged sharks have pinged off the coast this past week as well as a couple of sightings, one capture in a fishing net, and oh yeah 2 man-of-war have washed up on local beaches. Having none of that, thanks, but turns out I can deal with a seal. I may become a channel swimmer yet...
